HBO Is Getting Real Pissed At Pornhub For Hosting A Shitload Of Sex Scenes From ‘Game Of Thrones’
It’s no shocker that Game of Thrones is one of the most pirated shows on television, with the first episodes of season six having been downloaded millions of times the moment they hit the Internet. Knowing that rampant piracy means less profit, HBO has been sending warnings to ISPs in hopes that they’ll take action against anyone who pirates Thrones, but so far it doesn’t seem like it’s had much of an affect.
So what do you do when plan A doesn’t work? You turn to plan B. No idea what HBO’s plan B was, but the fact that they’re now rallying against Pornhub makes me think that plan B didn’t work, nor did C, D, E or F, which puts their attack on Pornhub right around letter G or H if we’re guessing correctly. According to The Sun, HBO is going after Pornhub over a copyright dispute after the website was flooded with hundreds of sex scenes from the hit television show. A statement issued by a spokesman for HBO said that “HBO is aware of the issue and is in the process of getting material taken down from Pornhub.”
Jeez HBO, could you live a little? The entire episodes aren’t being hosted, just the T and A that’s gratuitously flashed across the screen every 5-10 minutes. Are you really gonna make Thrones fans search through every episode just for a clip of Margaery or Daenery’s boobs? That sounds like a waste of our time, just like how attacking Pornhub is a waste of yours.
Besides, you guys owe them one – every time Thrones airs on Sunday nights Pornhub traffic dips. People be too busy watching Thrones for some possible spank bank material that they can’t be bothered to go to Pornhub for some guaranteed spank bank material. Why not just combine the two and make everyone’s life easier?
