If you’re like me than a large portion of your childhood/adolescence was spent blowing into NES and SNES gaming cartridges. I spent so much time gaming with these cartridges that I almost feel as if they’re part of the very fiber of my being, which they very well might be (I don’t know what they were made out of, maybe it’s in my blood stream). Which is why I was so stoked to come across this project in which a couple of gamers will turn your old gaming cartridges into wall art for you.
This project all started after a post went viral on Reddit showing off some dude’s gaming cartridge wall art, which in turn gave these guys the idea to launch a badass KickStarter. The project will take your NES, Super Nintendo, N64, and/or Sega Genesis game cartridges and flip them into unique wall art, here’s what some of the pieces looks like so far:
And here’s their KickStarter video, (FYI: try not to be distracted by the neckbeards in the video, the wall art is pretty badass if you’re a gamer who appreciates nostalgia):

And now I just need to get something off my chest real quick: finally, after months and months of my inbox being filled with people trying to get me to blog about their new KickStarter I’ve come across one that doesn’t suck, and the irony is I managed to stumble upon this one myself and nobody emailed it to me (I’m not kidding, I get a comical amount of KickStarter emails every day). So it’s really refreshing to see one that’s not garbage..end rant.
Here’s the process:
