It’s Already Been Revealed How Will Smith’s Character Will Be Removed From ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’

by 3 years ago

Yesterday, FOX dropped the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, a movie that is noticeably missing Will Smith’s character Col. Steven Hiller. It’s been 20 years since Independence Day first came into our lives, but the exclusion of Hiller from the plot is not easy to overlook. I mean, me was the main character for Christ’s sake.

Where did Hiller go? Why wouldn’t he be here to fight the aliens this time around? Is he a pacifist now? Or just a total pussy? Or is he in some Arizona retirement community playing Mah Jong with a bunch of elderly women?

Turns out he’s just dead. Yep, he died. According to War Of 1996, he kicked the fucking bucket in a fiery explosion during a training exercise in 2007. Shitty way to die, bro.

Poor bastard died on April 27, 2007. Was probably smoking a premature victory cigar in the cockpit when he set the entire aircraft on fire. Cocky prick.

Anyway, you can check out what has happened in the last 20 years in the Independence Day universe over at War Of 1996.
