Ace Of Spades Champagne With Jay-Z Signature Selling For $100k
In 2006, Jay-Z spearheaded a hip- hop rebellion, boycott, and crusade against Cristal champagne, one of the ultimate rapper status symbols at the time. Following the boycott, Sean Carter switched his brand loyalty to Armand de Brignac's Champagne of Reims, France, a relatively obscure and vaguely mysterious brand. After acquiring a monster bottle of the winemaker's Ace of Spades Champagne with Jay-Z's signature, a restaurant and nightclub in Las Vegas plans to make some bank by selling the 15-liter bottle for $100,000. Although $100k may sound like an awful lot of cheddar to shell out for premium bubbly, it is the same brand Jay Z flaunted from a silver case in the 2006 music video for “Show Me What You Got.” You know, the bad-ass music video where Hova rides b*tch to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in a Ferrari, tries to bluff his way through a high-stakes poker game with Bond girl Jarah Mariano, and swaggers around in the chichi coastal areas of Monaco. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the champagne is in an enormous gold “Nebuchadnezzar” bottle that contains five times more champagne than a double magnum. The bottle is only one of two such Ace of Spades bottles in the world, and is being sold by Tao Las Vegas Restaurant & Nightclub, which was recently distinguished as the highest-grossing independent restaurant in the United States for the fourth year in a row.
