The Party Rockers Are No Longer in the House: LMFAO to Break Up
LMFAO‘s Redfoo told the AP that he and his partner-slash-nephew Sky Blu are taking a bit of a break.
Redfoo says he and Sky Blu — who is not only his bandmate but also blood relative — will be splitting for a while, giving each of them more time to, um, do whatever it is people named Redfoo and Sky Blu do in their spare time.
“I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years.” Redfoo said in the interview. “And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of, like, forcing it all the time.”
He went on to note the pair are going in ”different directions” creatively.
After somehow getting popular for being in Miami, bitch, the two homies from the Palisades blew up by singing about naked models, their myspace accounts, what would prove to be the Jersey Shore theme song, and more recently, about party rockers and knowing how sexy they are. One of the stranger musical acts in recent memory, their success was perhaps only topped by their atrocious wardrobe choices and intellectually stimulating lyrical prowess.
The day the party rocking died will go down as a sad day indeed.
