Summer is in the rearview mirror, it’s full-blown Autumn throughout parts of America, and chillier weather has either arrived or is on the horizon. Given the change in the seasons, I figured today was as good of a day as any to throw some of my favorite mid-weight, stylish, and classic jackets on your radar. All of these are perfect for Fall 2019.
First up is the Bridge & Burn Marshall which has a multi-purpose design ideal for Autumn. It’s warm but not too warm, will keep you dry and the wind away (water + wind-resistant), has a hood to protect your head, and it’s lined with flannel for extra comfort and warmth.
The Barbour Men’s Icons Liddesdale is probably my favorite jacket in this roundup. I’ve always been a sucker for these classick Barbour diamond-quilted designs that were popularized by hunters and went mainstream in the 1970s.
This jacket has a jacket has a gorgeous corduroy collar for an additional touch of timeless style. Other features include a lightweight build that won’t weigh you down, brass hardware (only the best), large drop-in hand pockets, and back vents for breathability.
The Faherty Brand Atmosphere Hooded Jacket is my second favorite jacket in this roundup. I love the technical shell’s ability to walk the fine line between extreme performance and style.
This jacket has a water-resistant nylon exterior with channeled quilting that gives is that ‘puffer’ look you’re accustomed to but it maintains a slim profile. This jacket has double-snap chest pockets, side hand zipper pockets, and an elastic waist cuff to lock out the cold.
The Relwen Quilted Tanker has a quilted water-resistant design and the shell is constructed out of a Nylon/Cotton blend. There are multi-use pockets throughout and the Box-quilted nylon lining is breathable but will keep you warm in the wind.
This jacket has a classic fit, the shell and lining are quilt-stitched together so they’re one piece, and I just love the silhouette of this slimming jacket.
Last up, we see the Barbour Men’s Icons Durham Wax. This waxed canvas outer shell is 100% waterproof but unlike your typical rubber raincoats this maintains a stylish and handsome look that would look just as good on the streets of SoHo as it would on a hike in Iceland.
The thick flannel lining will keep the chill away from your body and this could easily be the most comfortable jacket you’ve ever owned. Not that you’re often wearing a jacket with short sleeves underneath, but if you are, you’re going to feel like you’re wearing a comfortable cloud. The accents on this jacket include quilted shoulder patches, a ventilated yoke for breathability, reinforced hanging loop, heavy-duty two-way YKK zippers, finished brassware, and more. This jacket truly is world-class.
