It wasn’t all that long ago when I couldn’t even wrap my mind around wearing lululemon as a guy which is almost unfathomable to me at this in life where I workout in lululemon probably five days a week and have been living in their athleisure pants and shorts for most of this year. Seriously, I’m wearing the hoodie and shorts featured below as we speak because they’re so good I never want to wear anything else.
With the holidays peeking around the corner, it’s a tough time of year to stay fit. We’ve got celebratory meals, cooler weather which brings heartier food and it can be mentally challenging to exercise after the time change and in cold weather. I sometimes find motivation from new apparel/gear, as if by committing to spend on new clothes and shoes obligates me to use them and stay fit. That’s why I’ve pulled together some of my favorite Lululemon athletic apparel for you gentlemen.
We have the License to Train Boxers ($38) which have added Lycra fibers for shape retention and stretch. They are breathable and sweat-wicking which makes them an ideal pair of boxers to travel in or workout in anytime.
I had to include the Pace Breaker Short 7″ Linerless ($68) in the Dye Blue/Astro Blue. I’ve got two pairs of these in Black which is pretty boring but they’re still my favorite athletic shorts because I pair them with compression shorts for HIIT or long runs. They’re sweat-wicking, odor-reducing, have a brilliant no-bounce phone pocket that keeps your phone in place in your pocket so it isn’t clanging around as you jog, and they check every box you’re looking for in high-performance shorts.
The Metal Vent Tech SS 2.0 (5 Colors) ($78) is a world-class athletic shirt but you should expect nothing less than that from Lulu. It has spandex blended in for optimal shape retention when sweating, this way the shirt doesn’t change shape on you mid-workout. It has a four-way stretch that moves naturally with your body whether you’re running or lifting and it offers unrestricted mobility.
We’ve got Lululemon At Ease Hoodie (2 Colors) ($148) which is a personal favorite of mine. I picked this hoodie up a few months ago and I’ve been wearing it on the couch quite literally every single day since. I have it in this Heathered Ancient Copper colorway but it also comes in a Light Grey style. It has a four-way stretch and a large Kangaroo pouch (with an internal zipper pocket) for tucking your hands or valuables. There’s a hidden ‘media pocket’ for your phone. This is truly the most comfortable and best-fitting hoodie I’ve ever owned so check this one out for sure (and thank me later!).
The Lululemon ABC Jogger (4 Colors) ($128) is a perfect pair of pants for literally anything life throws your way these days. They are built for warming up, working out, and cooling down. I’ve worn these on a run and on the golf course. They’re comfortable for chilling on the couch if you work from home. And I’ve never actually shared this here but these are the pants I was wearing at the hospital when my son was born a year or so ago so they hold a pretty special place in my heart. I went out and bought them thinking I needed to get something comfy for the hospital since we’d be there for a few days and I’m glad I did. I just didn’t realize how much I’d continue to use the pants after that.
