GEAR REVIEW: The Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot, The Best Boot I’ve Ever Owned, Is On Sale NOW
I know winter is (hopefully) almost over, but until it is, and even in the spring when it tends to rain a lot, a good pair of boots are really a must-have. And after trying numerous different brands and styles over the years the Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot is by far the best boot I have ever owned. (I’m wearing them right now!)
As I was looking for some new boots prior to the snow flying I spotted the Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot on one of those sneaker Instagram accounts and thought, “Those look pretty dope. Wonder if they work as well and feel as comfortable as they look?
Turns out these shoes were aces on both counts.
Now, boots as anyone who has purchased them knows, can be expensive. And Nike’s also are not usually the cheapest shoe on the planet. So I knew I was going to be paying a premium, but I went ahead and took the plunge. (They just look so dope.)
The only real complaint I have about them, and it’s a minor one, is that the zipper (good picture of it below) that you use to enclose your entire foot from the elements can be difficult to zip. That’s because (1) the laces are always in the way, and (2) I have to almost squish my foot to pull the zipper up over my arch. So, quite often I just leave the zipper halfway down and honestly, the boot has still been just as weather-proof.
Initially, the Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot was selling for the steep price of $200 on Nike.com. I managed to wait it out and snagged a pair for $159. Now, though, if you are in the market or looking towards next fall and winter, Nike has dropped the price even further to just $139.97!
The boot comes in Black/Anthracite and Flax/Ale Brown. The Flax is priced a little higher at $159.97.
It also is available in Olive over on Amazon (where it’s rated 4.4/5.0) with a price tag of between $160 and $210. The Black/Anthracite model is also available there with prices ranging from $137 to $210.
