Things We Want This Week: Single Malt, Knives, Grilling Equipment And More! (Gifts Bros Actually Want)
In this week’s ‘Things We Want’ gear guide for bros we’ve got all sorts of awesome goodies, including but not limited to: tactical gear, cigar humidors, booze accessories, grooming advice, single malt, and more. As I try to do each week, this edition of the ‘Things We Want — A Gear Guide For Bros’ covers the entire spectrum of gear for bros who like to get out into the world, get their boots a little dirty, and see what’s happening down by the water.
Also, if you know of a product that you think should be featured in my weekly Gear Guide then feel free to hit me up via email at Cass @ Brobible dot com. And for those of you looking to have us test out products to be featured here you can contact me via that email for our mailing address.
I recently got my hands on a bottle of the Laphroaig Lore, a 96-proof single malt that evokes visions of ‘bonfires on the beach’ with every sip. I’m not usually the type of person to get sappy over a spirit, but this is easily one of the best tasting single malts I’ve had in years. It’s not cheap though, a 750ml bottle will set you back $124.99, but it’s WELL WORTH IT. Here are the tasting notes:
COLOR: Deep mahogany
NOSE: Rich and smoky with seaside minerals and a hint of ash and bitter chocolate drops. Vanilla follows with oily unroasted chestnuts and a hint of fudge with a malty sweetness. A drop of water adds a clotted cream note with fruit appearing in the form of unripe citrus in a flan glaze
TASTE: Richly peaty with a spicy chili bite
FINISH: Short, dry finish and a long, sweet aftertaste
PROOF:96 (ABV: 48%)

Go ahead and let everyone know where you stand in this year’s election by picking up a pair of The Reagans, The Kennedys, or The Washingtons from Rufus & Royce. With these shorts you’re getting 240 years of patriotism packed into one magnificent pair of thigh warmers, though they won’t be doing too much warming with the 8-inch inseam (anything longer than 8-inches is just not right). This company is just a couple of bros trying to connect with their audience, and I think they’ve succeeded in that goal with their immaculate line of shorts and hats.
