This Vans Shoe Has Modern Enhancements But It Looks Identical To Their First-Ever Shoe From 1966

Vans Anaheim Factory Authentic

Vans

When Vans got its start back in 1966 they took orders for shoes and released them that same day. The first shoe model from the Van Doren Rubber Co. at their Anaheim, California factor was known as the No. 44 Deck Shoe. It was created by the Van Doren brothers whose goal was to offer an extra grippy sole and extremely tough shoe, one that was quickly welcomed with open arms by the growing skateboarding industry.

Flash forward to today, and the original No. 44 Deck Shoe is now known as the Vans Anaheim Factory Authentic. Aesthetically speaking, the shoes look identical. But the Anaheim Factory Authentic has received modern enhancements and been updated with high-performance materials for comfort and functionality.

You can cop this shoe over on Huckberry today, the Anaheim Factory Authentic, which is the modern tribute to the Vans shoe that launched an empire of skating gear. These come in an OG Gold and OG White, both retail for $75 which is a steal for this piece of history. Let’s check it out:
