The Vans Style 73 is the brand’s way of paying homage to the original Anaheim factory the sneakers were built at. The Style 73 DX is a reissue of the sport-style Vans of the early 90s.
A few key characteristics of the sneaker include suede uppers, high gloss sidewall finishing, and a custom woven label. We’re grabbing a pair of these all-black classics for our What to Wear outfit today.
What to Wear with Vans Style 73 DX
We love a good jogger pant, especially when they’ve got the right cut (not too tight, not too baggy). These khaki 365 Joggers from Flint and Tinder come in a tapered cut that gives your legs and seat room while also slimming down as you move to the ankle.
For the top, we’re staying with the California-inspiration and going with a soft baseball raglan from Marine Layer. The shirt is cut from tri-blend jersey fabric with a soft rayon back. It’s going to be the perfect everyday shirt for those spring days when you’re out and about.
Layer the tee with a rugged shell from Relwen. The Windzip Jacket in Light Steel will be an ideal layer to wear from now until the end of spring. It’s made with a strong nylon and spandex blend and is entirely water-resistant.
And on the wrist, we’ve got an everyday watch in the Timex North Field Post Solar. The 41mm timepiece features a stainless steel case and a fabric strap made out of 100% recycled plastic. The solar movement will power the watch for up to 4 months, so if you leave it in your desk drawer for a couple of weeks you’ll be comfortable knowing it won’t skip a beat.
