Over the years we’ve seen a number of low scores on the Wonderlic test issued to NFL draftees. Vince Young got a 6, Chris Leak an 8 and Jeff George a 9. In the past, players have had success despite low scores. Dan Marino, arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, could only manage a 16.
Today, rumors are swirling that LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne only scored a four. Now, in fairness to Claiborne, his agent Bus Cook said he knew nothing of the results. For that matter, it’s possible Claiborne has some kind of learning disability that hasn’t been made public. So we’ll leave the judging of Claiborne’s intelligence to others.
