There’s an impressive amount of twerking going on in this video. So impressive that it led to 33 San Diego high school kids getting suspended.
Thirty two of the students, from San Diego’s Scripps Ranch High School, appear on camera in the risque bit of butt shakery. The 33rd was suspended for filming and editing the video on school property.
According to NBC San Diego, the suspension stems from the school’s handbook that prohibits “verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature made by someone from or in the educational setting.”
The students have allegedly not only been suspended from school but also banned from prom and from walking in their graduation in the coming weeks.
Signs of support have been posted on Twitter with the hashtag “#freethetwerkteam”.
If there’s a cause involving 18+ (shhh they’re all legal) teen white girls shaking their asses for the amusement of the Internet, I’m entirely in favor. Don’t infringe on their constitutional right to speak with their asses violently clapping. FREE THE TWERK TEAM, SCRIPPS.
