Getting approved to do anything in a massive corporation is difficult. Receiving the green light to publicly mock two schmucks from Philly is almost impossible. That’s what makes Budweiser’s national print ad response to a lawsuit so impressive.
Talk about a corporate humblebrag. When Sandy rolled through the east coast, AB sent 44,000 cases of emergency drinking water to the region and $100,000 to the Red Cross. The current ridiculous lawsuit gave them the perfect opportunity to remind everyone about their wonderful charity work. I didn’t expect them to do so by suggesting the two men responsible for the lawsuit couldn’t tell the difference between a can of beer and a can of water. This ad ran in 10 different newspapers from New York to LA. Good for you, Bud.
