The marketing machine for the Metal Gear offshoot, Rising, is officially in high gear. And, surprise, everyone is pissed all over again.
Speaking as MGS diehard, I have no idea what my cohorts’ problems are. I for one am fine with the idea of Platinum Games (makers of the very much excellent Bayonetta and Vanquish) taking over the reigns of Raiden for just a game.
Nor do I have a problem with the commercial above, which channels the crappy FMV that used to be all the rage once CD-ROMs were a “thing.” The reaction has been rather negative to put it mildly.

The game is due later this year, but expect it to be a major focus of Konami’s E3. Since they honestly have nothing else going on at the moment.
