The unassisted bench press world record was just reset last year when powerlifter Eric Spoto put up 722-pounds unassisted, here we see Angelo Samarripa attempt to break the record with 725lbs.
In this video, the record attempter Angelo Samarripa claims to have put up 720lbs before, which is a nearly unfathomable number for an unassisted bench press. Also, 725-pounds is easily enough to crack your sternum if the weight and bar is left to bounce off your chest….have I given away too much already?
