So many games coming out that you might need some help

by 6 years ago

In case you haven’t noticed, a ton of games have just come out, and with more to come. So here’s a handy little guide for the stuff that matters. First the stuff that just hit the streets and which you might have missed, like…

Forza Horizon, a spin off that’s based upon Microsoft’s slightly more Americanized alternative to the very Japanese Gran Turismo by Sony. Not bad for a bunch of Brit developers. Came out a few days ago and is seriously the best racer of 2012. For the time being that is…

Next, I’ve mentioned Hotline Miami a couple times already, and I’m mentioning it again, since it’s finally available. And, unlike the last game, I can assure you that this one is indeed worth your money and time…

Liberation Maiden deserves a mention, if only for the premise: it takes place 100 years in the future and you’re a Japanese high school girl, who is also the President of New Japan, due to the fact that your dad was assassinated. And to defend your country, you pilot a giant robot…

Medal of Honor: Warfighter also just came out, and has the distinction of being the first of the heavy hitting shooters to suit up for action. It also has the distinction of totally sucking apparently, but here’s the trailer anyway. Which at least least looks cool (and I bet is what everyone whose played the thing are telling themselves when wondering why they nabbed a copy in the first place)…

Moving onto new releases for next week, we finally have Need For Speed: Most Wanted, which will possibly knock Forza Horizon off its perch…

We also finally get Halo 4, though more importantly, the chance to see if the franchise can live on without the guidance of Bungie…

Yet another giant robot game is also slated for next week, but one that plays it decidedly more serious than Liberation Maiden. It’s the Zone of the Enders: HD Collection; the originals were pretty sweet PS2 titles (which you probably didn’t get to experience the first time around, I’m guessing), and they were produced by the creator of Metal Gear Solid to boot…

And finally there’s Assassin’s Creed 3; I’ve already posted in launch trailer a couple days ago, so instead, here’s a rather nifty fan flick that’s been making the rounds, due to the aforementioned niftiness…
