The Masters, Treme, Floatopia, and Tailgating With BroBible On This Weekend’s Agenda
After day two of the Masters, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood are tied for first place at eight under par. Tiger continues to prowl and ended today in third place after 36 rounds. If you’re planning some golf-themed partying this weekend, be sure to tee-up a John Daly as your libation of choice: lemonade, ice tea, and vodka.
Weather wise, It’s going to be another beautiful, mild spring weekend here in the Northeast, which means hopefully you’ll have a chance to break out the koozies and coolers for a little outdoor chaying. Speaking of chaying, tomorrow BroBible and The Daily Tailgate are throwing a massive tailgate outside the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford before the Big City Lacrosse Classic. Things will get underway at noon and run until around 7 p.m. Look for our tent in Parking Lot L outside the New Meadowlands Stadium. There will be DJs, giveaways, plenty of drinks, and more throughout the day. Special thanks to Bloody Amazing Bloody Mary Mix, Heineken, and Liquid Flow for helping to sponsor the event.
The biggest movie opening this weekend is “Date Night” starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. Reviews are generally favorable, which is expected because both Fey and Carrell are hysterical. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing their antics together. On Sunday, Kevin Simon’s long anticipated series about the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans premieres on HBO at 10 P.M. We were huge fans of The Wire and love the Big Easy, so we couldn’t possibly be more excited about seeing his take on post Katrina New Orleans. If HBO releases the first episode of Treme online as emendable video, you’ll be the first to know. In the meantime, the trailer for Treme is after the jump.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Floatopia in Santa Barbara, which aims to be one of the wildest parties of the weekend. The massive beach blow out has attracted over 12,000 people in previous years. After the jump, we’ve also provided four crazy party videos of last year’s Floatopia festivities.
Chay hard, have fun, and be safe.
