Alec Baldwin Hosts, a Coked-Up SNL Digital Short, and the Return of Snooki
In his otherwise forgettable monologue Saturday night, host Alec Baldwin joked that most viewers would be watching the “SNL” series finale online Monday morning. Sounds about right to us. The highlight of the show was the SNL Digital Short, starring a whacked-out Andy Samberg in a song and dance about his (coke-fueled) “Great Day.” It’s a must-watch. Baldwin’s best stuff came in a 1940s-era skit in which he propositions an escort (the punchline, which takes a while to come, is priceless), and “Snipers,” in which he plays an army officer with a problem giving orders. “Timecrowave,” meanwhile, was one of the most clever skits we’ve seen on “SNL” in a long time. And oh yes, Snooki returned to “Weekend Update.” Check out all the clips after the jump.
