A Rainy Day In Tampa Doesn’t Keep the Pirates At Bay For Gasparilla

This years Gasparilla was wet in more ways than one. For the first time in at least a decade, the weather gods decided to literally rain on our parade. To the credit of pirates and parade goers alike, the city was undeterred by the precipitation and partied on regardless. Heavier police presence also had little effect on the days festivities. More photos and a full report after the jump.

There is only one day in Tampa where partying from one sunrise until the next is not only accepted, but expected. It takes a lot more than a few raindrops for us to give that day up. Besides, when you’ve been drinking since 7:30 A.M, you don’t really care what the weather is doing by the time the parade starts. I hope this section has helped to give you an idea of the craziness that is Gasparilla. However, no article, picture, or video can capture the true spirit of one of the best parties America has to offer. It is something every Bro has to experience. Only 363 more days until the pirates invade again.
