What University Should Join the Big Ten?

by 9 years ago

In case you haven’t already heard, the rumors about the Big Ten adding another university picked up velocity over the weekend. A little virtual back-fence talk emerged on Twitter and sports message boards that the University of Pittsburgh may be the 12th school to enter the conference. The flames were fanned when Ben Mahller from Fox Sports blogged about the development. In the meantime, the Chicago Tribune is quieting the squawkbox by calling the rumor “bogus.” Comprehensive blogosphere breakdowns can be found at With Leather, Bleacher Report, and The Big Lead.

The Big Ten’s inevitable expansion will surely be a heated sports talking point over the next few months. Is the University of Pittsburgh the best fit for the Big Ten’s 12th team? If not, what other university is worth consideration? Or, should the behemoth conference just stay put at 11 schools? We’re opening this one to you, BroBible community.
