55 Oscar Nomination Predictions Before Tomorrow’s Big Announcement

You’ve probably noticed by now that we’re a little obsessed with the movie awards season. From the Golden Globes to the Razzies to the Oscars, we try to follow the horse race as closely as possible. Tomorrow morning the Academy Award nominations will be announced and we have some predictions for the top 10 categories, including the 10 potential nominees for Best Picture. We’re predicting big nominee hauls for “The Hurt Locker,” “Avatar,” “Up in the Air,” and “District 9,” but we’d also love to see multiple nominations for “The Hangover” — perhaps the tenth Best Picture slot, a Supporting Actor nod for Zach Galifianakis, and a Best Song nominee for Ed Helms’ “Stu’s Song” (“What do Tigers dream of…” ). Anyway, of our 55 predictions after the jump, we’ll be happy to get 45 correct. What do you think we missed?
