Another Japanese Baseball Player Uses Ninja Moves to Make an Amazing Catch
Two weeks ago we were wowed by Hiroshima outfielder Masato Akamatsu's dazzling, ninja-like catch off the outfield wall. According to Deadspin, history has pretty much one-upped itself in Hiroshima's Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium. This time Hiroshima center fielder Amaya Souichirou uses samurai skills to scramble to the top of the outfield wall for another amazing snag, robbing Yokohama of a home run. Coincidentally, this game was also against the Yokohama Baystars and both teams had the same pitcher on the mound. We're starting to believe Japanese baseball and “MXC” have quite a few things in common. If Quentin Tarantino ever makes a baseball movie, we hope it takes place in Japan. Watch both videos below.
In case you missed it, here's Masato Akamatu's catch from two weeks ago.
Not to sound like an old fart, but you just don't see that type of hustle in professional baseball these days.
