Bros, if you’re planning to spice things up in the bedroom with your lady, make sure the rules and regulations are laid out specifically in a contract. If not, you could end up like Mel B (formerly known as Scary Spice) and her film producer soon-to-be ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.
Mel B’s brother-in-law Jeremiah Stansbury claims that the couple is divorcing due to jealousy that materialized after the two invited other people into the bedroom during their ‘open’ relationship.
Jeremiah told The Daily Star:
“Basically what they had going on was a very fun, loose, open king of relationship.
They liked to bring a stripper over and have a little fun and stuff like that.”
If you’re not a very mature person and you’re not very solid, if you’re going to look at that as a license to do whatever the hell you want, then someone is going to feel unappreciated.”
Nearly a year ago, Belafonte shared a photo on Instagram showing a man in bed with two women. The caption read, “Is that my mouth??? Is that @officialmelb ring??” The photo was originally posted by Kim Kardashian and reposted by Belafonte.
Mel B, 41, cited irreconcilable differences when she filed for divorce and is seeking joint custody of their five-year-old daughter, Madison.
In an interview with the Daily Star back in 2010, Mel B was very open about her unconventional sex life with her husband, claiming the two had sex “sex five times a day” and sought sexual gratification outside the walls of their bedroom.
“We love hitting raunchy nightspots together. Our therapist has encouraged us to indulge our fantasies.”
Why would a seemingly straight woman invite other women to sex her husband, you ask? Well, before they got married, Mel B was involved in a passionate relationship with another woman for five years.
She once said of her sexuality:
“People call me lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual, but I know who’s in my bed and that’s it… I have a huge libido and a great sex life.’
After the divorce is finalized, Mel B is going to be the most sought after woman in Hollywood, by men and women.
