We have some of the best players in the world right now all on one team, which has led to a historic offense that seems to score at will. Despite a hiccup against Mexico, USA has not dropped a game. Trea Turner solidified himself as a national hero with a go-ahead grand slam against Venezuela, then proceeded to hit two more homeruns against Cuba in the semifinals. Christian Pulisic and Steve Rogers might have some competition for the title of Captain America. The only real weakness this team has is the pitching staff. We have had some weak pitching with not a whole lot of depth, but good defending and a prolific offense have been able to make up for it. To be honest, it is hard to bet against Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, Tim Anderson, Pete Alonso, Nolan Arenado, and Kyle Schwarber. All this being said, it will be nice to see Trout and Ohtani playing in a meaningful game.
