There is nothing that is going to convince me to do anything other than betting the Steelers with this offer. I will be making my few but important talking points and passing them along. If you were looking for someone to agree with, you can go ahead and click that link.

The entire basis of my discussion is that the Steelers are home underdogs against the New Orleans Saints. This is a chance to bet the Steelers with value and get $200 when a touchdown is scored. I would not pass that up.

Here are some numbers for you.

The Saints, since 2003, are .537 cumulative winners on the road. This means that basically, for the whole of Drew Brees’ career and a little more, the Saints are barely above .500 as a road team. When they were a great team, they were average on the road. Meanwhile, at that same time, the Steelers are 117-49-1 at home. Now, that is mostly during the Big Ben era with a few other years, but being .705 at home is insanely impressive. It is good enough for fourth best in all of football.

If we are betting on an otherwise “toss-up” game here, I like the odds of a strong home team.

Moreover, the Steelers have been a home underdog 24 times since 2003. The team is 17-4-3 against the spread. It is also 15-9 outright winning. The Saints have not been a road favorite yet this year.

Saints starter Andy Dalton is no stranger to playing the Steelers, either. The former Bengals quarterback made three Pro Bowls during his time in Cincinnati. He impressively led the franchise to the postseason in 2011, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

He was dreadful against the Steelers.

Dalton is 3-13 against Pittsburgh in his career. In that season’s worth of games, he has completed just 58% of his passes, with a 19-14 TD-INT ratio, and has taken 37 sacks. For the rest of his career, Dalton is 79-61 and completes nearly 7% higher with his passes. Dalton also has a much more palatable 217-126 split on scoring versus turnovers.

The Steelers are also expecting to get T.J. Watt back this week. This is all adding up to be too much to ignore. The Saints offense is in disarray. Its receivers can not stay on the field. The New Orleans offensive line could not keep Dalton upright, and it couldn’t open holes for Alvin Kamara.

All of that continues to play into the only decision to make here.

The Steelers are home underdogs. That alone creates too much value not to get in there quickly; before others buy up the line. Take Pittsburgh and get that free $200 when a touchdown is scored with BetMGM!
