We love college hoops playoffs around here. Two ranked teams going head to head in the  Big 12 end-of-season tournaments. Both teams want to try and get to the Championship game to punch their ticket into March Madness. However, only one of these teams has an actual chance of pulling that off, and I’ll tell you which team it isn’t. TCU.

TCU is not a bad basketball team. Or I’d certainly hope they’re not, being ranked 22 in the country. However, they are simply not as good as this stacked Kansas State team. The Hypnotoads do have some elite players, though, so I will give them their props. Mike Miles Jr. has been on a scoring mission. He’s been averaging about 17.2 points per game for TCU and looks to be in no position to slow down. Alongside him is sparkplug Damion Baugh who has been getting a team-high 6 assists per game, dishing the ball everywhere to guys that only he ever sees before the ball is in the bottom of the net. There is in fact a recent this team is nationally ranked, and it’s not just out of pity for the NCAA Football Championship game.

However, Kansas State is far and away a better team, no contest. They are 23 and 8 and have all of the momentum heading into this titanic matchup, winning four out of their last five games of the season. Not to mention this team has incredibly more talented players. Forward Keyontae Johnson has been averaging 17.8 points per game and along with 7 rebounds per game. Once he gets in the paint, there is little you can do to stop him. Plus it never hurts to have a guard like Markquis Nowell, who has been getting 7.7 assists per game which puts him at 3rd in the nation in that statistic. So yea, I’d say pretty good.

TCU is in every sense the younger brother trying to beat his older, stronger, more accomplished brother in Kansas State. The Wildcats are winning this game no question. Bet on Kansas State and enjoy that $200 in bonus bets you are guaranteed to get.
