Ryder Cup week is always electric and this year the event is no different. In fact, it may even be more electric when you consider that Tiger Woods is playing for the first time since 2012 and he is coming in as the hottest golfer on the planet. Couple that with the fact that Team USA hasn’t won on foreign soil in 25 years and we could be in for a historic weekend of golf. Especially if things fall our way.

While you can’t win the Ryder Cup on Friday, you can certainly set yourself up for success or failure. With that in mind, it is so important for both sides to put out their thoroughbreds early in the Friday morning Four-Ball matches.

Here are the 2018 Ryder Cup Friday pairings for the morning matchups

Group 1

Team USA: Brooks Keopka & Tony Finau

Team Europe: Justin Rose & John Rahm

Initial thoughts… Team Europe

Group 2

Team Europe: Rory McIlroy & Thorbjorn Olesen

Group 4

I’m sure my predictions will age well. And if they don’t, then Team USA is in for a long weekend.

Anyway, here is Jim Furyk’s opening address in case you missed it.

And if you want to feel some serious chills… here is how France greeted Tiger Woods when he was announced.

It’s going to be a home game for Tiger this week.

The 2018 Ryder Cup tees off tomorrow morning with Four-Ball at 2am EST with coverage on the Golf Channel. The afternoon Foursomes matches will immediately follow.

If you’re unfamiliar with how the formats work, check out the official Ryder Cup website.
