The wrestling world is still gripping with the death of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan who passed away on Sunday at the age of 73. Heenan was an entertainer extraordinaire, one of the funniest men in professional wrestling history, one of the greatest wrestling color commentators of all-time, as well as setting the gold standard of wrestling managers. The WWE Hall of Fame manager was honored on Monday night during WWE Raw with an “In Memoriam” tribute.
Heenan joined the WWE after a successful career at the American Wrestling Association and has changed the entire wrestling world with his unparalleled success and impact. On Monday, Michael Cole, Booker T, and Corey Graves reminisced over some of the great moments from his storied WWE career. The retrospective looked back at The Brain’s illustrious career focused heavily on Heenan’s long partnership with fellow broadcaster Gorilla Monsoon. RIP Bobby.
