Brock Lesnar walked away from UFC 200 with a decisive victory over Mark Hunt. Many in and out of the industry feel the win puts Lesnar in the conversation for a shot at the UFC heavyweight championship. UFC has Lesnar ranked 8th.

Lesnar will fight again. Another victory will absolutely put him contention for a title shot. But will either of those things happen in 2016? Not likely, says one oddsmaker.

Bovada, an online destination for all things gambling, is laying odds that Lesnar will compete in UFC before the year ends.

Will Brock Lesnar Fight in the UFC again in 2016?

Yes +140 (7/5)
No -200 (1/2)

According to these odds, a Lesnar return to the octagon in the calendar year is probably unlikely. With a WWE Summerslam appearance on August 23rd, Lesnar would have little time to prepare for anything in the next two months. Fans holding out for a UFC 203 appearance on the same card as CM Punk will probably be disappointed as the date of September 10 makes a Lesnar fight highly unlikely. That leaves only three possible months and three cards to get the mayor of Suplex City ready for a fight.

But…nothing is impossible, especially where money is involved. And when Brock is saying it’s possible.
