The Arizona Cardinals have made calls to other teams regarding the trading away of their All-Pro wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins. However, according to the report by The Athletic reporter Jeff Howe, the teams are viewing it as a “salary dump” by the Cardinals, which has significantly reduced Hopkins’ trade value.

The report also says that despite initial discussions with the Cardinals, the New England Patriots don’t plan to pursue Hopkins in 2023, unless there’s a substantial change in philosophy.

Despite this, several teams are reportedly vying to acquire the talented wide receiver, including the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, and Atlanta Falcons. On Thursday, NFL veteran turned analyst Pacman Jones said on the Pat McAfee show that these teams are all interested in acquiring Hopkins.

The news of Hopkins potentially being traded has intrigued NFL fans, as he is widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the league. In 2020, he caught 115 passes for 1,407 yards and 6 touchdowns, making him a crucial component of the Cardinals’ offense.

It remains to be seen whether Hopkins will be traded and which team he will ultimately end up with. However, it is clear that the Cardinals’ decision to potentially trade him away has caused a stir in the NFL community.
