Debate The Slate Vol. 49: Justin Bradford Joins To Recap The NHL Trade Deadline

by 12 months ago

Welcome to Volume 49 of Debate The Slate with special guest Justin Bradford, author of Nashville Predators: The Making of Smashville and Host of Penalty Box Radio on ESPN Nashville.

Dom and I kick off the show with a little talk about the Madness beginning with March… starting with Louisville having whats left of its heart and soul ripped out by Virginia’s last-second comeback. We also had a chat about the upcoming NFL draft and some combine results, I decided I am all on board with Lamar Jackson… NFL wide receiver.

Next, we kick over to my conversation with a fellow puckhead, Justin Bradford of Penalty Box Radio. Justin joined me earlier this week to recap one of the most newsworthy NHL Trade Deadlines of the past few years. We talk a ton about my Nashville Predators sending a small haul to Chicago for Ryan Hartman and the Tampa Bay Lightning loading up with TJ Miller and Ryan McDonagh from the Rangers.

Plus, I give props to teams like Columbus for getting better while giving up almost nothing. And I get mad about teams like the Penguins who get the perfect missing piece to significantly increase their chances for the Cup.

After that, Dom and I made our picks for Friday night’s college basketball, NHL, and NBA games.

All that and more – enjoy the show and be sure to follow @JustinBBradford on Twitter!
