Johnny Manziel just signed with the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday and, wasting no time, because…football, sportsbooks have already released prop bets and odds on his anticipated performance for the 2018 CFL season.

According to report out of Hamilton, Johnny Canada is no lock to start though, as his new coach June Jones said, “Let me tell you something right now, he’s got his work ahead of him to beat out Jeremiah [Masoli],” Jones said of Manziel. “He’s got a lot to catch up on, but he’ll spend the time to get that done. I know he will because he’s already learned that lesson.”

Man, if JFF’s #COMEBACKSZN doesn’t involve him beating out 29-year-old Jeremiah Masoli who has played for the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL, the Edmonton Eskimos and the Tiger-Cats since leaving Ole Miss after the 2010 season his football career really is over.

That being said, the real test of the world’s confidence in Manziel as a professional football quarterback truly lies in what the sportsbooks think, right? Right. Let’s see what they’re thinking of JFF these days.

According to, BetOnline has these three props for Manziel going…

“Spacing is a little bit different on the defensive side if I had to look at anything,” Manziel said. “On offense, I’ve never ran this many routes that are predicated off of one defender … every route has an opportunity to break three or four different ways, which is different.

“But I think it gives you the versatility and offensive weapons to be able to attack coverages more intensely than it would just running a fixed route. I know it’s going to take some time but now I see it more-so and my expectations are tempered.”

For what it’s worth, Jones says he thinks that “in 2 1/2 weeks he’ll have a handle on everything.”

Meanwhile, Bovada Sportsbook, via LVSB, gives these prop bets for JFF in the CFL…

Johnny Manziel – 2018 Regular Season Interceptions
Over 11.5 -120
Under 11.5 -120

Johnny Manziel – 2018 Regular Season Passing Touchdowns
Over 23.5 -120
Under 23.5 -120

Johnny Manziel – 2018 Regular Season Passing Yards
Over 3900 -120
Under 3900 -120

Johnny Manziel – Will He Win CFL Most Outstanding Player Award In 2018
Yes +1000
No -2500

They also have JFF’s Hamilton Ti-Cats with the second best chance to win the CFL Grey Cup at +550, only behind the Calgary Stampeders at +220. Just imagine what will happen if Johnny Canada can win himself a Grey Cup. Please, God, let that happen. Thanks.
