Los Angeles Rams quarterback and reigning Super Bowl champ Matthew Stafford just made a huge LA real estate purchase. Stafford spent $11 million on side-by-side houses and purchased the homes from rapper Drake who recently listed three side-by-side houses for a total of $22.5 million. The Staffords were partying at Drake’s house for an after-party after winning the Super Bowl so one has to wonder if they started talking about it then.

It seems fair to say the Staffords are currently living the dream. Matthew Stafford just won the Super Bowl in his first year with the Rams and has 5 seasons left on his contract in LA. He’s already earned $239,306,037 throughout his 13 seasons in the NFL. And if he sees out all 5 season with the Rams he’ll have earned a whopping $422,306,037 playing in the NFL.

At the end of the day, $11 million on side-by-side houses in Los Angeles is just a tiny fraction of Matthew Stafford’s earnings but that doesn’t overshadow how awesome of a purchase this is. The two homes are located in the San Fernando Valley area that’s filled with celebrities in LA. They also occupy 3.6-acres of land.

Kelly and Matthew Stafford paid $5 million and $6 million for the homes for a total of $11M. The reported combined asking price for the two properties was $7.4 million so they paid WAY OVER the asking price. Presumably because they wanted to split up the three properties and not purchase the crown jewel of the three.

One of the homes is 3,600 square feet with an additional 800 square foot guest home. It has an outdoor pizza oven, six bathrooms, five bedrooms, and the other house has a private horse trail.

The Staffords also purchased a $19.6 million 15,000 square foot home nearby last Summer. So it remains to be seen what will be done with these houses Matthew bought from Drake. If they’ll be used by the family, demolished and rebuilt, or used as investment rental properties.
