We suffered our second consecutive bad beat on Friday night after taking the over (230.5) in the Rockets-76ers matchup. We knew that the game was going to be weird, but it was weird in the worst way as the point total hit at 230 after Philadelphia dominated Houston 134-96. The Rockets scored a whopping 19 points in the fourth quarter to spoil the party.

It’s playoff time now, however, this is when it really counts and we’re going to start this thing off right with a W.

NBA Lock For Monday: Celtics vs. 76ers

The Pick: Celtics -6

Tip-Off: 6:30 PM EST

The 76ers beat the Celtics in three of their four meetings during the regular season, but this isn’t the same Philadelphia team. Ben Simmons is out after undergoing surgery and the guard play from Boston should really shine without Simmons on the floor.

Despite losing their regular-season finale, the Celtics looked strong down the stretch in the bubble winning four straight before closing out with a loss. They simply seem to have things going in the right direction while question marks surround this Philadelphia team without one of their top players and with a coach in Brett Brown who many think is coaching for his job.

The 76ers will be a one-man show depending on Joel Embiid throughout this series. He’ll get his on the stat sheet, but it won’t be enough to keep the Celtics from getting off to a fast start with a strong win in Game One on Monday night.
