Former NBA Player, Samaki Walker Eats Weed During Traffic Stop
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Walker was stopped in Kingman, Arizona on Thursday. As a Department of Public officer walked over to Walker's 2002 Mercedes-Benz and he attempted to swallow his weed before he was caught. Arizona authorities claim they seized approximately 10 grams of marijuana, some prescription drugs and eight bottles of liquid steroids from the vehicle. Walker indicated that the steroids were to help him play professional basketball in Syria, where steroids are legal. Walker retired after the 2005-06 NBA season and played for six teams in 10 NBA seasons.
Possession is a misdemeanor and Walker was booked on drug charges. Bond was reportedly set at $2,000 along with an Aug. 5 preliminary hearing.
