Welcome to Week 4 in the NFL. There are a lot of exciting matchups throughout the week. As we’re now nearly a quarter of the way into the season, we’re starting to see the identity of teams. Now, spreads and totals are beginning to adjust accordingly. Here are the best bets for Week 4.
Record this season: 8-4
Baltimore Ravens (-14) vs. Washington Football Team
Sunday 1:00 PM EST
Although it’s a short week going on the road, it’s not much of travel for Baltimore, heading 34 miles south to Landover. Despite last week’s performance, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are still a very good team. Jackson has lost just four games in his career, three of them to Patrick Mahomes, and last I checked he did not get traded to the Washington Football Team this week. The Ravens are going to make a statement after last week’s loss.
Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys (-4.5)
1:00 PM EST
The Cowboys are 1-2, but their losses have been close and against two of the best teams in the NFC. Dak Prescott has put to bed the debate on whether or not he should be paid like a top quarterback with the most passing yards this year and eight total touchdowns.
Cleveland is actually the team coming into this game with a better record and on a two-game winning streak. They have been getting it done thanks to one of the best two-headed backfields led by Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb.
This is certainly going to be a test for the Dallas defensive that has not played that well this season, but the offense is capable of putting up points and keeping this game out of reach.
Seattle Seahawks vs Miami Dolphins (Over 53.5)
1:00 PM EST
We know how good Russel Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks offense is, but we also know how bad their defense is. The Dolphins offense came alive last week against Jacksonville and it seems like they’ll get another opportunity to score some points. I don’t know if Miami can keep pace with Seattle, but the Seahawks have the third-most points over the total this year, they’ll help carry this game to the over.
Underdog Of The Week
Atlanta Falcons (+7) vs. Green Bay Packers
Monday 8:15 PM EST
This game has all the implications of an offensive showdown. Aaron Rodgers has been proving doubters wrong as he’s thrown for nine touchdowns and the Packers 40.7 points scored-per-game leads the NFL as they’re off to a 3-0 start.
The Falcons passing attack is as good as ever; Matt Ryans’ 928 passing yards are third in the league, and he’s found new star receivers in Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage to complement Julio Jones. Their defense has been the big reason why they’re 0-3, allowing the most points-per-game this year and blowing double-digit leads in back-to-back games.
The Atlanta defense is going to give up a lot of points, but their offense will keep them in this game like it has all season.
