Odell Beckham Jr. Takes A Shot At The Media With A Pair Of Custom Cleats At Giants Practice

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been in the news quite a bit this offseason. However, much of it hasn’t exactly been football news.

There was Odell hanging out with Von Miller and Nicki Minaj in Paris.

Rumors of him hooking up with Deion Sandersโ€™ 42-year-old model ex-wife Pilar.

Got himself a, ummm, interesting Michael Jackson tattoo.

Showed up late to a kids’ event after partying with Amber Rose at Coachella.

He worked out with Johnny Effing Football.

And finally, OBJ reportedly skipped out on OTAs because he was hanging out with his alleged new girlfriend Iggy Azalea.

Like I said, lots of news, very little of it football-related. And that’s fine, but I guess Odell doesn’t like the fact that stuff like that comes with playing in America’s largest media market.

So when he showed up Tuesday for his first offseason practice with the Giants Beckham had one thing to say to the media, and he did with his cleats…

Note the giant “SHHHHH!” along with the logos of ESPN, TMZ, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and The Post.

The cleats originally appeared on their creator’s Instagram with the caption, “Silence the critics.”

Of course, that post has since been deleted, because if you do that then no one on the internet will ever know about it, right? Right.

Welcome back, Odell.
