What’s that? You hadn’t heard? WWE superstar Kane is running for mayor of Knox County in Tennessee? That’s right, Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, is looking to choke slam his competition in the 2018 mayoral race in the Volunteer State. And it might have been a pretty tight race if something hadn’t just happened that is guaranteed to turn the tide in The Big Red Machine’s favor. Yep, “The Nature Boy” himself, Ric Flair, is coming to town and he’s he’s coming loaded for bear.
Now normally one would think that a man who dresses like this for a living would have no shot in the political arena…
However, this is no normal demon from hell. Clear back in 2013, Ron Paul wanted Kane, err, Glenn Jacobs to run for Senate. So who knows, first the mayor’s office then maybe a run at Trump and The Rock in 2020? If the “Nature Boy” has any say in it, don’t count Jacobs out.
“Hey this is the Nature Boy Ric Flair telling all of Knoxville, Tennessee, that on July 12, I will be there live and in color to support my very close friend Glenn Jacobs in his attempt to become the mayor of Knoxville.”
“Make no mistake, we want to see thousands of you out there. There’s only one Glenn Jacobs, there’s only one Kane and only one Nature Boy whose coming to town to support Mr. Glenn Jacobs. Woooooo!”
So what if Jacobs is actually running for Knox County mayor, not Knoxville mayor. “The Nature Boy” has spoken, dammit.
The primary in the mayoral race will be held on May 1, 2018 with the final election happening on August 2, 2018. Until then…
