Sklar Brothers unleash the sports anthem of the year

It’s no secret the Sklar Brothers are huge sports fans.

To this day I still say Cheap Seats was one of the funniest shows on television.

Anyway, the funny brother duo are a part of the new album 2776 —  28 original tracks taking satirical aim at every aspect of America including sports.  The album is the brainchild of Joel and Stephen Levinson and Rob Kutner.

Besides the Sklar Brothers, the list of performers on the album includes over 80 award winning artists including Patton Oswalt, Aimee Mann, Yo La Tengo, Reggie Watts, Neko Case, Will Forte, Ashanti, Andy Richter, Ira Glass, Andrew WK, Aubrey Plaza, Martha Plimpton, Ed Helms and Margaret Cho. It’s the murder’s row of comedy and music. There is even a track that includes Reggie Watts, Right Said Fred and Mayim Bialik. Let that marinate in your brain for a minute.

The Sklar Brothers’ contribution to the album is Live It Now — a sports anthem about how important sports are in life. So important. So important it gets men out of going apple picking on Fall weekends. That’s huge.

Give a listen to Live It Now by the Sklar Brothers and tell me it shouldn’t be pumping in every stadium in the US.
