UFC 250 Odds And BetMGM Betting Preview: Amanda Nunes Locked In -625

Presented in partnership with BetMGM

The UFC is set to host its first pay-per-view event since the pandemic slowed down the sports world this Saturday, and it should be a doozy. Featherweight champions Amanda Nunes (19-4-0) will look to defend her title against Against Felicia Spencer (8-1-0) in Las Vegas. The five-round fight between Spencer and Nunes will get underway at 10:00 PM EST and we’ve got you covered when it comes to a look at the gambling side of things and predictions.

UFC 250 Preview

Spencer, the underdog with +450 odds at BetMGM, is without question a rising star in the sport. The 29-year-old Canadian has a varied skill set, but enters this fight after suffering her lone professional loss last July to Cyborg. One of the biggest takeaways from her loss to Cyborg was her struggle to defend against leg kicks. It will be interesting to see how she adjusts against Nunes, who is no stranger to throwing leg kicks.

Having said that, Spencer knows a thing or two about titles as she claimed the vacant Invicta Fighting Championships belt in late 2018 before signing with the UFC. She owns a 2-1 record in the UFC.

Nunes, commonly referred to as the GOAT, enters the fight on a 10-fight winning streak, the longest by a woman in UFC history. While this fight will be her first defense of the featherweight title since taking out Cyborg in December of 2018, there’s hardly an argument to made against her -625 odds at UFC 250.

The 32-year-old Brazilian was successful in defending her bantamweight title in December of 2019 after a unanimous decision over Germaine de Randamie. The list of fighter Nunes has taken down include the likes of Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Holly Holm, Randamie and Cyborg, which is certainly a strong group of names.

Nunes’ all-around abilities, both on her feet and on the ground, is tough to ignore heading into this fight on top of all of the experience she has inside the octagon compared to Spencer.

UFC 250 Prediction

On the one hand, this is indeed a fight where strange things could very well happen, so the massive +450 odds attached to Spencer’s name is enticing, but only if you’re a sucker. Nunes is simply going to be too much for Spencer, full stop.

$10 to make $45 in the event of an upset? Not sure I’d risk it.

While I don’t see this one ending quickly in the opening round, expect to see Nunes take care of her business with a TKO shortly thereafter.

Nunes: -625
