Video: #10 Seed Victoria Azarenka Faints at U.S. Open Under Intense Heat
It's hot as all hell today in New York City (low-90s), and it showed at the U.S. Opens in Queens, where #10 women's seed Victoria Azarenka collapsed on the court about 30 minutes into her match against Giselo Dulko. Apprently doctors rushed to her aid, bringing her water and shade, before taking her off the court in a wheelchair. According to Sports Illustrated, “at the 2009 Australian Open, Azarenka withdrew from her fourth-round match against eventual champ Serena Williams, citing an 'undisclosed illness' that caused dizziness.” There's a short video of her fainting after the jump; the accompanying Super Mario Bros. music is pretty distaseful, if you ask us, but it's the only video up on YouTube right now.
