ASICS recently launched several lifestyle sneaker collaborations featuring some of their most iconic shoe styles. In addition to that, ASICS also unveiled their latest collection, taking trends and styles made famous in the iconic Harajuku district of Tokyo and bringing them to the U.S. with their new the Happy Chaos collection.
ASICS is reintroducing the iconic GEL-KAYANO 5 model, originally released in 1993 as the fifth iteration of the GEL-KAYANO series. The GEL-KAYANO 5 was renowned as a high mileage performance shoe and today ASICS has created a fashionable lifestyle version of the shoe.
ASICS also launched the third stage of a collaboration with Kiko Kostadinov, the ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-DELVA, which builds upon the previous two iterations and pull inspiration from the correlation between high-end performance and design.
ASICSTIGER also introduced some new sneakers as they joined forces with British subcultural innovators YMC for an original interpretation on the iconic GEL-LYTE model.
And inspired by fashion trends made popular in the streets of Tokyo’s Harajuku district, ASICS also unveiled its latest collection, Happy Chaos, a line that mashes up bold patterns and bright colors with classic ASICS silhouettes.
The Happy Chaos collection follows the East meets West theme of the “Welcome to the Dojo” pack, celebrating two important elements of ASICS’ culture by applying iconic Japanese fashion to sport style. The eclectic streetwear is a head-to-toe experience that uses patchwork stitching to mix patterns and materials in the true DIY spirit of Harajuku.
The Happy Chaos collection is available at Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Footaction, Eastbay.
