Nike Is Releasing Their HyperAdapt 1.0 Self-Lacing Sneakers In A Sharp New Colorway

by 5 months ago

Nike is releasing a new look for their HyperAdapt 1.0 self-lacing sneakers with a special colorway that’s sure to go fast. Dropping at 5:00 PM EDT, Friday, April 13th, this latest version will come in what they’re calling Olive Flak and Orange Peel. It’s very, very cool and it is sure, despite its hefty price tag to sell out very, very fast.

Just like previous iterations of the HyperAdapt 1.0 that came in Habanero Red, Wolf Gray, and Black & Blue Lagoon, this latest self-lacing sneaker features the same fabric pattern, but with a change to a flecked gum rubber outsole.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 is the first fully-functioning athletic shoe that electronically adjusts to the contours of your foot via adaptive lacing technology and can now be manually adjusted on the go.

“When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten,” explains one of the Senior Innovators, NIKE, Inc. “Then there are two buttons on the side to tighten and loosen. You can adjust it until it’s perfect.”

Dope.
