Brought to you in partnership with Revtown Jeans
Here’s how deranged my priorities are: this weekend I will go out (most likely both nights) and won’t think twice about spending hundreds of dollars on overpriced craft beers from a hipster Brooklyn bartender who looks like an extra on Boardwalk Empire. I will be wearing the same shitty jeans I’ve had for years, not because they look or feel good, but because they have two holes when I can insert my legs.
When I went home to see my parents last month my mom even said, “You’ve had those things since I’ve known you.” Nothing shifts your perspective like getting insulted by your own mother.
In my defense, clothes shopping sucks and finding a pair of jeans is particularly frustrating because typically the affordable ones are ill-fitting or feel like you’re walking in sandpaper cylinders and the expensive ones are, well, too expensive.
Luckily, my 30-year nightmare is over thanks to the folks over at Revtown Jeans.
The Pittsburgh, PA-based denim company offers a vast selection of superior denim for an affordable price that promise to be your go-to pants for work, first dates, visiting your mom, and every occasion in between. All jeans are made from premium Italian yarn in what Revtown calls Decade Denim, featuring “four-way, dynamic stretch, and constructed with the strongest fibers in apparel design today.”
The jeans check all the boxes of my 5 Pillars for the Perfect Jean: Comfort, Style, Fit, Durability, Price.
Revtown also eliminates the confusion surrounding the fit of jeans: relaxed, loose, boot cut, slim. Damnit I feel like I need an adderall before going shopping.
Automatics for your baseline jean you go to the bar to watch football in. Mobile and comfortable, without looking unkempt.
Sharp provides a slimmer fit more suitable for a meeting or more formal occasion.
- Dark Indigo – A deep denim blue with traditional contrasting stitching.
- Rinse Indigo – Our darkest indigo wash with dyed-to-match stitching.
- Steel Grey – A grey denim with a worn-in feel.
- Coal Black – A straightforward black denim and a good complement to Rinse Indigo.
The irony of selling you on jeans that sell themselves is not lost on me. None of these words will matter when you try on your first pair of Revtown Jeans. I can type until I develop arthritis but I can’t elicit the feel. I guess you just have to trust me, stranger.
I’ll tell you what, if you’re not rocking your Revtowns on the reg two weeks after you buy them, you can personally slap me in the face. How’s that for collateral?
