Watch Of The Day: Lum-Tec Huckberry Combat B33 GMT
Chris Wiegand founded Lum-Tec about 10-years ago, determined to create customized watches with mass appeal. He was also bent on keeping his timepieces American-made, taking pride in his company’s Ohio home. Well, it didn’t take long for Lum-Tec to become one of the most well-respected American watchmakers on the market.
Luckily, around this time, our friends at Huckberry were looking to collaborate on a customized Huckberry-signature timepiece. Long story short, the Lum-Tec Huckberry Combat B33 GMT is the second Huckberry-exclusive watch collab from Lum-Tec and it’s an absolute gem.
Designed by the Huckberry team in San Fransisco, Lum-Tec built this timepiece to handle anything and then some. A 43 mm 316L stainless steel case with black PVD titanium carbide hard coating protects this Swiss GMT quartz movement timepiece, in addition to a top-grade sapphire crystal.
Built with Lum-Tec’s high level of performance standards and Huckberry’s demand for modern style, this is a one-of-kind watch. Here’s what Huckberry had to say about the Lum-Tec GMT collab:
The Huckberry Combat B33 GMT is a custom-designed timepiece that includes all of our favorite Lum-Tec features with some custom touches that make it our own. A domed sapphire crystal, lumed dial and a outer 24-hour index for the GMT hand are what makes this one special.
On top of that, Lum-Tec provides free battery and timing adjustments for life. Plus, with a slip-through strap design, this timepiece comes with two band options: a hunter green leather strap and a black nylon strap.
An American designed, built and tested timepiece with a backstory unlike any other. A watch of this caliber can easily cost around a grand but you can get this watch for just $498 at Huckberry, an absolute steal.
