Just in time for the E3 2018, Nike released two video game-themed sneakers. The Electronic Entertainment Expo is the premier video game trade event in the world and Nike celebrated E3 with the Xbox-inspired x Air Jordan 1 Mid and the PlayStation-themed Air Force 1 Low.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid pays homage to Microsoft’s hit game console with Xbox’s signature green color on the premium suede finish. There’s also “Xbox” written on the laces and the game console’s logo in the lining of the sneaker. The co-branded kicks also feature a glow-in-the-dark sole inspired by the Xbox One’s power-on light. These are still Jordans so they have an embroidered Jumpman on the heel. Sadly, these gaming sneakers are currently not planned to be released to the public. This video game collaboration are strictly limited to friends and family of the brand as of right now.
Check out these Air Force 1 “PlayStation ’18 QS” sneakers. These PS4-themed Nike Air Force 1 kicks feature the interlocking “PS” logo on the left insole and left heel. There is Sony’s iconic four-button controller layout on the right heel, on the bottom of the shoe, and inside the clear blue swoosh that is colored like the PlayStation startup screen. The sneaker’s upper is smooth black leather and glossy black patent leather on the heel. There are also black laces and a white midsole.
The sneakers will cost $200, but no release date has been revealed yet. However, the Playstation Air Force 1 is available to a select few through Nike’s Early Access. Click HERE to see if you’ve been one of the fortunate few to get the video game kicks first.
