I think most of us would agree that using the word “rape” inappropriately is bad thing, but yesterday Stacey Dash may have gone a bit overboard telling Kanye West to go to Rikers Island to learn what rape is really all about.

Appearing on Fox News’ Outnumbered, Dash dropped this comment that makes her look almost as bad as Kanye…
“For Kanye to say rape, maybe he needs to spend some time on Rikers Island. Go to Rikers for a little while and then he’ll know what rape is. I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”
One, yes, Kanye and other celebrities should DEFINITELY stop using the word rape to describe the media. Two, the paparazzi are kind of scummy so a celebrity lashing out is understandable. But three, telling someone to go to Rikers Island to experience rape is probably not the best way to get your point across.
None of this seems to be bothering Dash though as she spent much of last night retweeting several of the hate tweets she received. For example…

I kind of figured Stacey Dash’s addition to a Fox News show could end up being fun, I just didn’t know it’d take Kanye West saying something stupid to get the ball of insanity rolling.
