This Week’s ‘South Park’ Is About ‘Racist, Trigger-Happy’ Cops

You PC, Bro?” is the catchphrase of the year in my book. Like so many other wonderful cultural moments, we have South Park to thank for lampooning Internet outrage culture in 2015. It’s a highlight in a season filled with perfect satirical gems.

This week they’ll talk about cops. Specifically, “racist, tripper-happy cops” as you can see from the clip below. Here’s the press release:

When Kenny leads the boys in playing Ninja Warriors, a foreign terrorist organization takes notice… The ever more PC citizens of South Park decide that they no longer need a police force. As the first American town to get rid of their cops, they plan to celebrate their advanced sensibilities with a PC Carnival.

That sounds like appointment television Wednesday night, especially considering the videos that have gone viral over the last few months.

This is going to be good. It’s not like this is the first time South Park has gone after overzealous police officers, too. Last year South Park lampooned trigger-happy cops by having Tupac’s hologram visit the South Park Police.

I don’t remember a call to “ban South Park” after that, though clearly it was social satire. Can’t wait to see if there are calls to ban South Park afterwards like there are calls for a “surprise” for Quentin Tarantino.
