Looking For A Threesome? OkCupid Just Made It A Lot Easier To Find The Special Third Someone

The mystical and coveted threesome. A wondrous achievement often pursued that rarely materializes. But now OkCupid is helping make the dreams of those pursuing polyamourous trysts come into fruition.

On Friday, the dating site rolled out a new feature allowing users who are listed as “seeing someone,” “married,” or “in an open relationship” to link their profiles and search for other people to join their relationship. Then the couple will be able to double-team prospective lovers with cheesy pickup lines. No more swinger clubs needed, organize a beautiful ménage à trois from the comfort of your bed or toilet.

The new feature comes from increasing demand for polyamorous relationships. The site says that 44 percent of users would consider dating someone already involved in an open relationship. Apparently 24 percent of OkCupid’s users are “seriously interested” in group sex. Seems incredibly low. Considering that nearly every dude wants to be involved in group sex and girls are more inclined to be bisexual, that figure should be at least 67 percent.

Meanwhile, the number of people who say they are solely committed to monogamy is 44 percent, down from 56 percent in 2010. I remember that one time that I had a threesome, a couple of people didn’t show up, but I still had a great time.

“Finding your partner is very important,” said Jimena Almendares, OkCupid’s chief product officer.“You should have the option to express specifically and exactly who you are and what you need.”

So get out there and make that your threesome dreams into reality. Of course, good luck on getting THREE people to agree on one show on Netflix and the same toppings on their pizza.
